Sea Side a new auction will begin tomorrow. Tonight we're grilling with friends after Jordan's baseball game. They won. What a beautiful day! Campfire and S'mores later. Yum!
Maddy and I had a great time at the mall today. A mommy & me shopping day looking for outfits for Spring. It actually feels like it's finally here. Warmer days and sunny skies. Yay! :) Now it's time to start thinking about what we want to plant in our garden. Oh, I can't wait. I love this time of year. Four new Ebay auctions listed this week. Very productive and it feels great. Have a wonderful weekend!
Bolt enjoying another walk with me (3 miles :) at The Root Glen on the grounds of Hamilton College. I love hiking here. The woods behind the college are so beautiful and serene. We saw butterflies, daffodils, magnolias and others just beginning to bloom.
Our new 8 month old kitty. We rescued him from an hospital who got him from a lady who found him in her yard. She had no idea where he came from. She figures he was abandoned. Our vet knew we wanted a cat after just loosing, Lucky, so she asked us if we wanted to take him in. We were more than happy to have him join our family, and what a cutie pie he is! The vet named him, Little Guy, but I think we're going to call him Loverboy, cause he is soooo lovey... it's also 1 of my favorite rock bands from the 80's, or LB for short. <3 him. :)
Created with gorgeous, Dirty Martini, that has a hint of mint and paired with, Leaky Pen, a tantalizing teal. Cased twists, spirals, stripes, flowers, trapped bubbles and so much more! Named after the Montana, Swarovski crystals that are included. Enjoy! :)
My girlfriend and I went on a beautiful 2.5 mile hike today at Hamilton College. It's just around the corner from my home and has the most beautiful hiking trails. We are just seeing the first signs of Spring in Central, NY. A few bulbs had popped up here and there, but no flowers yet. Hopefully, we can enjoy their Root Glen in all it's glory very soon.
Got things done early this am because I have to go to an eye appointment. Boy, the more I wear my reading glasses the more it seems I need to wear everyday glasses. UGH!
There's an event tonight.. A Key West Party at the Holiday Inn. It's with the radio station the theatre advertises through and the theatre has a booth where we're selling tickets our events. There's a band, Jimmy Buffet tribute, and margaritas. Woo Hoo!
I had a lot of fun at the torch today. I made two sets. Dalmatians and funky flowers, disc and dots. Can't wait to see how they turned out in the morning. Now I need to figure out what we're having for dinner. Something simple and quick will do just fine. :)
From now on all of my auctions will begin and end at 6:00 PM, PDT. This way you will always know when to check in on something you may want to bid on. My goal is to post a new set every week night. ANCHORS AWEIGH begins tonight. Thanks for peeking! :) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181119326027#ht_1391wt_1139
There's an event at the theatre tonight. Otherwise is performing with special guest Girl on Fire. Woo Hoo! I love Otherwise and my favorite song is 'I don't apologize' Have a listen. <3 I'm gonna be so star stuck. And 'I' have a back stage pass! :)
Did you know I also work part-time for The Uptown Theatre? I run the box office on the weekends during their special events. Here's a little video clip from Saturday night's show - ESCAPE. Yes. It was as crazy as it looks. 700 + people and what a WILD night!
Welcome to my blog page and thank you so much for stopping by!
I'm Krissy Dery mother of three and lampwork artist. I was born and raised in Southern California but moved to Central New York May, 2010 with my loving husband. Creating beads allows me the incredible opportunity to be home with my children for which I'm truly grateful.
My glass beads are made by me and me alone at my home studio in historic Clinton, NY. I pride my self on my attention to detail. I love making beads and hope you can see that in each and every bead I create.
I use many types of glass: Effetre/Moretti, Lauscha, Vetrafond, Czech and Bullseye. Each and every bead is immediately placed into the kiln for annealing, soaking and gradual overnight cooling. This insures that my beads are not only beautiful, they are durable and will last a lifetime.
